Tania began drawing about 12 years ago and is self taught. Her early drawings show an almost photographic quality, but she quickly learned new skills, and began to tackle oil paints - initially by copying the "old masters" pictures that she loved. As her own style developed, she began to specialise in still life and portraiture, in oil paint, pastels, and later, oil pastels.
She has a love of rich fabric, textures, porcelain, jewellery and the baroque - possibly stemming from her family's Russian heritage.
She has exhibited locally at the Leamington Art Gallery and has had work accepted by the Pastel Society and the "Not The Turner Prize", The Mall Gallery, London
Commissions for portraits and other works are welcomed.
